About Michael Mekhitarian – Treasurer
Motoring Interests
Michael is a founding partner of ATB Partners. He is a registered Tax Agent, Chartered Accountant and qualified Financial Planner. Michael has worked in the Accounting profession since 1983, offering taxation, accounting, business planning, business mentoring and general advice to a diverse range of clients, both local and overseas.
Michael has a passion for both motor cars and bikes. He has ridden a bike across Nepal, and extensively across USA and Australia. He is currently restoring a 1951 Australian Ford F1
Career
Given the seniority of his role, his solid professional reputation and his years of varied experience, Michael is often asked to sit on company boards as well as other advisory organisations. He is a Past President and Treasurer of the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the board for several years. Michael was recently appointed President of the Western Sydney Regional Advisory Council which acts as an advisory body to Business NSW and as Treasurer and a Director of the Australian Motor Heritage Foundation.
Michael’s love of ‘the entrepreneurial spirit’ as well as small business is what drives him to support clients with his accounting, tax and business advisory skills. He has helped many startups to become fully fledged businesses and hundreds of small businesses through crucial growth phases.
Michael holds the following qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) Chartered Accountant (CA). He is a Member Australian Institute of Company Directors, Registered Tax Agent, Member of the National Tax Agents Association and Justice of the Peace.
